To access Google play store, you need sign in to your Google account and then only you can install Android apps. But, recently I faced a problem with my new Android tablet that I was unable to find the place to sign out from Google play store in my Android device. Google Play account!!!
Before we move on, let me get this straight, the only way to sign out from a Google Play account is on an Android device, there’s no way around it, because Google Play is only available for Android smartphones and tablets. Which means that this information is useful, and probably will always be useful for anyone who has an Android powered mobile device such as a Samsung, HTC, Google Pixel, LG, Sony, Huawei, Xiaomi, or Nokia smartphone or tablet (among many more), and who are also looking for an easy way to logout of their Google Play account on their Android devices.
To logout from your Google Play account on your Android device follow below steps:
How To Logout Of Google Play Account
- Go to device Settings.
- Scroll down to Accounts.
- Tap Google.
- Now tap the Gmail ID you want to sign off.
- On the next screen, tap the 3-dot menu icon option (on Samsung devices) found at the top-right corner of the screen.
- Then select Remove option.
Note that you may not be able to do this if you have set this email address as your main email address for your account, since it’s likely that Google Play will use this account. If you wish to remove your main account, then your only option is to factory reset your device.
That’s it as simple and easy as that! Please keep in mind that this is the only existing method available to sign out from a Google Play account that really works, there’s no way to log out from the app itself, and there aren’t any known tricks to accomplish this without removing your Google account from the Android device in which you’re trying to get the job done.
Signing Off a Google Account Automatically
If you’ve had your phone stolen, then you may wish to use this method. You can easily Remove a Device.
You can do this in just a few simple steps:
- Go to accounts.google.com
- Click Device activity & notifications
- Click on Review Devices . Now, you will see all the devices you’re signed into.
- Now, click on the device that you want to sign out from, and click Remove accoun.
From the screen you are presented with on Step 4, you will also be able to track the location of your device (I have removed it from the screenshot for privacy reasons), and when the device was last used as well.
